The Ludonaut Gameplay Library is a curated, growing collection of game mechanics you can mix and match to design new game concepts, solve design problems, and communicate gameplay clearly. Helping you design better games faster!
Each entry is written to be reusable and game/genre-agnostic, focused on the problem it solves and the tradeoffs it introduces, so you can make confident design choices instead of guessing.
What you get

No, this is a design reference library (a knowledge product) for game designers/developers.
Do I get future updates?
Yes. The library is designed to be continuously expanded and refined.
Do you use AI?
Yes. but not to create content. I'm very wordy and I write long, very long, analysis. So I use AI to map out my analysis and summarize to make it easier to skim through as an entry in the library.
Can I request a mechanic?
Yes, use the project’s community/comments or the provided support link to suggest mechanics, improvements, or report unclear entries.
